Math 150 Lecture 002 - Fifth Homework Assignment

This assignment is related to

• Lecture 11 - Friday, October 2
• Lecture 12 - Monday, October 5
• Lecture 13 - Wednesday, October 7

For discussion at recitation on Th Oct. 8, T Oct. 13, and Th Oct. 15.

MAPLE:

• Do the Core Problems by hand, and then check your work by using MAPLE.
• Study the pages on Functions and Procedures (pages 43 - 53 of the Lab Manual ), also the section on "subs" (pages 79 - 82 of the Lab Manual).
• Work through Demonstration #6. (We have skipped Demo #5, but will come back to it soon.)

READING: Chapter 4 Sections 1 through 5. Please read these carefully. There is a lot of important material.

CORE PROBLEMS: Write up, for your own record, solutions to the Core Problems for Chapter 4 sections 1 through 5.

OLD FINAL EXAM PROBLEMS: Final Exams for the past eight semesters are included at the back of your Math 150/151 Lab Manual. For this week's assignment you should work the following problems from the old final exams:

Spring 1997:	#5, 6, 17
Fall 1997:	#1, 2, 17
Spring 1998:	#3, 13
