Math 240 (J. Wu) Homework #13 Due Fri ,April 23

This is the last assignment that is due this semester. You need to plan your time carefully to finish it in time. Most of the material in Ch 8 and Ch 9 is also covered in Stewart, your old Math 141 book. You may want to look at corresponding sections in that book for another presentation (probably better than the one in Kreyszig). I can also highly recommend the following book for the physics majors among you in order to learn Div and Curl and Stokes and Divergence theorem better in the context of electricity and magnetism, where it is used in an essential way: H.M.Schey, Div,Grad,Curl, and all that.An informal text on Vector Calculus.
