The UK Integration Bee, held at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and jointly organized by the UK Integration Bee Committee, NTU Odyssey Committee, and NUS Mathematics Society, brought together Mathematics enthusiasts for an intense and intellectually stimulating competition. The event challenged participants with intricate integration problems, pushing the boundaries of their mathematical skills while fostering a deeper appreciation for the subject.
With strong participation from universities in Singapore, the competition not only tested technical proficiency but also aimed to inspire greater confidence and enthusiasm for Mathematics. This collaboration with the committee from the UK marks a significant step toward establishing a larger platform for such competitions in Singapore, promoting cross-society engagement and academic excellence.
Out of four teams representing NUS, two emerged as the top-performing teams from the university. Demonstrating remarkable problem-solving skills and resilience under pressure, these teams secured the Champion and First Runner-Up positions in the competition. Their outstanding performance has earned them a spot in the next phase—an additional round of the UK Integration Bee, which will be held in the United Kingdom on 1 March 2025.
This achievement underscores the mathematical talent and dedication of the NUS teams, reflecting the university’s strong foundation in mathematical education and problem-solving. As they prepare for the international round, the teams look forward to representing NUS and Singapore on a global stage, further cementing their reputation for excellence in Mathematics.
