The International Congress of Basic Science (ICBS) honors top research, with an emphasis on achievements from the past ten years which are both excellent and of outstanding scholarly value. For the 2026 edition, scientific works in both basic and applied research are chosen in 40 areas of the three basic science fields (mathematics, physics, and information sciences and engineering) represented at the ICBS.

Publications authored (or co-authored) by DINH Tien Cuong, SHEN Zuowei, SUN Rongfeng, YANG Lei were selected within the mathematics field:

“Unique ergodicity for foliations in ℙ^2 with an invariant curve”, by Nessim Sibony, Tien-Cuong Dinh. Inventiones mathematicae (2018).

“Deep network approximation for smooth functions”, by Jianfeng Lu, Zuowei Shen, Haizhao Yang, Shijun Zhang. SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis (2021).

“The critical 2d stochastic heat flow”, by Francesco Caravenna, Rongfeng Sun, Nikos Zygouras. Inventiones Mathematicae (2023)

“Effective version of Ratner’s equidistribution theorem for SL(3,ℝ)” by Lei Yang. Annals of Mathematics (2025).
